Poll: Do you have children?

Just curious. Because it would seem most veteran posters, even the older ones, dont have kids. And if they do have kids, it would seem few have daughters and most have sons. Ive noticed the men here with children have a very different outlook and perspective on dating and life. And there does seem to be different advice given amongst those parents with sons, or daughters, or both.

Though its possible most men with kids just simply dont mention them here.

I was considering making a thread specifically about raising daughters but sounds like there wouldn't be any interest.

Ooops. I meant to add the plural (s) in the forth option for those here who have both sons and daughters.

Real cool man. I actually want a daughter if I ever decide to have kids. I always felt more paternal about daughters than sons. Not that I wouldnt treat a son with as much love. Id like to have the son first though, so he can look out for his sister(s) and be the oldest.

And actually, when I thought up this topic, you and TicTac were one of the few guys I assumed had daughters. I was able to guess that based on how I see you two talk about females with regards to some topics...or just how you speak in general.

Yup.. I have a 16yo daughter (.. Hates fb and social media, loves the outdoors, helps me hunt and gut my deer). I also have a 10yo son.. He is getting there but not quite. Both do awesome in school (A averages) and both know martial arts.

I have had exes with 11yo boys who were not bad kids but my objective opinion apples to apples: girls are easier to raise than boys. At least at this age.

One thing I dread about having a daughter is the teenage years.

Not only do I have to worry about her new found sense of self, and dealing with the battles that many teens and parents have...but I will also have to worry about her mental, physical, and emotional safety as she begins to go out into the world on her own more often.
