"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

true, i already called her today tho to ask bout a drink, and then lunch. Then we sent 2 emails each back and forth. You dont think its weird to call her tom afternoon bout tom night? To me thats a lil creepy. I cant call her tontie cuz she said she has plans.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

She responded to my first 2 emails within minutes, and not to the 3rd. Its been over 2 hrs and its her work email so i assume shes not responding back to this one. I didnt ask any question in it so that could be why, but i didn say a couple funny things.

I just called the girl to ask if she wanted to grab a drink after work and she said she had to do go to her sisters, so i said how bout lunch and she said she goes out with girls for lunch on friday. But she said she thinks a drink next week would be good.

So i emailed her back and said i'd give her a ring at some pt.

Ok so when should i call her? Sunday night? Is monday too desperate looking? Hows wednesday? I know i know a DJ does wat he wants. but im not a DJ so gimme some advice lol. I think i made a suave comment tho, at the end of the email i said:
The problem is you're putting way too much thought and care into how things turn out with this one woman. You fear if you don't act now or do the right thing, she'll slip away. That's going to show no matter what.

You've already talked/emailed what, two or three times, and you met her just today? That's enough for now. She said she thinks a drink next week would be good. There you go! Call her next week and setup a drink. Problem solved, and no need to think about it anymore.

I suggest you relax, go out and cold approach a few other HB7-10s in your neighbourhood to releive you of your stress, this is a great time to sarge as you are already in a positive frame of mind.
Don't allow this one particular HB to continuously fester herself in your mind, do what you have to do to set up a date with her, then forget about her until you are actually with her.
Remember this girl was flirting with you first, you are not gaming a girl whom you do not know is interested in you, you have the power in this situation, if you play your cards right.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

These things tend to go wrong more as a result of what you do, rather than what you don't do.

If it were me, considering I talked to her today and she said next week would work, I'd call her Monday night. Let her do the worrying about what you're thinking. "He e-mailed me three times Friday, but now I haven't heard from him in three days! Did I say something wrong? Did he lose interest? Oh, he's calling me now!!!!"

In my opinion, you're coming off as anxious. That was what you wanted to avoid doing, and that's why people commonly suggest waiting "three days" because that arbitrary waiting period trains you to be patient. I would not have called her on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Monday through Thursday are play days because during that time most people only have work or school.

I also suggest eliminating the urge to e-mail or instant message her. When you speak with her, you need to communicate with her, and communication involves more than expressing your opinion in words. It involves body language, touch, and the excitement of the experience. Many top business leaders are also dynamic speakers. They're dynamic because of their mannerisms they use throughout the year. For example, some don't even have a chair in their office. They stand. Some don't even use computers, like Donald Trump. Indeed, many don't have their own phone line. Any messages they need to receive are relayed to them by secretaries.

Avoid all forms of impersonal communication. That includes e-mail, IM, MySpace, and that other crap that strips the emotional experience from the exchange. You need to speak to people in person. Whenever you have a chance to speak to someone in person, do so. The occasional phone call is all right, but contacting someone by any additional means (except in person) just comes across as needy and anxious. I've learned my lesson about getting attached. Women hate when men get attached. They hate "clingy" guys. You have more important things to do with your time than spend money on women. Do those things. When you get around to it, talk to her.

That sounds good, monday night. I like it. I'm gonna enjoy my entire weekend and not think bout it. Its so tricky to me tho, everybody has comepletely diff advice on this site. my brotherinlaw was like call her tomorow fool, why waste time. then some people say 3 days at least. I dont know how to not appear needy and follow up at the same time. the only reason i even have her email was cuz she told me shed email me her cell cuz i was otuside and didnt have a pen. The emails were to make plans for next week and thats all besides me jokin bout the demented guy on the train and her lokin like reeese witherspoon.

here's the entire email convo we had. The last one by me was not responded to. I didn't make any earth shattering mistakes right? I'm sure i was a bonehead in a couple of them, but none of that coulda been a deal breaker could it? It starts at the bottom so go down and scroll up. the top is my last email:

(I wrote)
Haha, I knew u got that before. Very strong resemblance. I'll have to take another look, but for now i'm stickin to that. People tell me Derek Jeter but i dont see it either lol.
have a good weekend.

(She wrote)
Yea im a 9-5’er! LOL, that sounds funny.

Haha, yes, ive heard that. I don’t see it though. LOL

(I wrote)
haha maybe he's ceo of a major company. lol god knows wat he had in there, im just glad he didn't shoot us for laughing.
But yea a drink sounds good. I assume ur a 9-5er too? I'll give ya a ring at some pt. Makes more sense than rushing durin a lunch break anyway.

P.S. Does anybody ever tell you, u look like Reese Witherspoon?

(She wrote)
Im going out with the girls from work at lunch today; it’s a usual thing we all do.
I would grab a drink next week sometime, that would be good.
That guy was too freakin funny. He was dressed like that with a brief case; that’s what made it so funny!!

(I wrote)
Hey, mines 555-555-5555.
Might be easier to talk thru email tho, got my supervisor like 3 feet away 2day.
lol, that guy on the train cracked me up. His pants were rolled up to the knees, and he had drool comin down his lip, I couldn't help it. I wonder if he noticed why we were laughing. lol But anyway, would u wanna meet up for lunch today? Ur on Broadway? i usually walk down there for lunch, cuz theres not much by me. Either that or we could grab a drink after work sometime next week.

She sent her number to which i responded above.

She e-mailed you her cell number so you could call her. There's absolutely no reason to e-mail her when you have both her work and cell numbers.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

She said her cell doesn't work. it only takes incoming calls. And she said she was busy at work. I could only talk to her during my coffee break, i cant talk to a girl in front of my supervisor to plan a date. Wat choice did i have? U still think i should wait for monday?

DJnTraining06, seriously man, take a cold shower, you're thinking too much about her.
Are you planning on getting together with other girls during your weekend? Do that man, spin more plates, then you'd naturally come across as indifferent and relaxed about her.

You made a great initial impression, don't blow it by being needy and all over her when you don't even know her.

Listen to Demon and Insomniac, they offered the best advice.

Good luck.

Im just bored at work. yea dude i got like 4 numbers in my phone. Im spinning alot of plates lol. Shes just the only 8+ i ever had a date with.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
