People get Married so Early

I see my peers getting married around ages 18-21. To me, that’s absolutely crazy. Way too early. I need more time to get my shyt together than that. But what do y’all think?

The term High School sweetheart comes to mind. If a girl doesn't have that she'll make it up. There's a good group of work oriented girls out there wanting to marry in their thirties too. Some real Millenial stuff lolz...

A lot of people do get married young. Some of the best marriages I know, they got married young, surprisingly enough.
But the average age of first marriage in the west has been climbing rapidly. In the USA, it's 27 for women and 29 for men. In most of Europe, it's actually in the 30s.

I think there are some benefits to marrying early, if both people have good heads on their shoulders.

1. Can focus on careers and building assets (together) rather than hitting the club or trolling Tinhder online lol.

2. For having kids, you have more energy to raise them and lower risk of birth defects.

3. You can potentially retire earlier, rather than be a 60 year old with a kid still in college.

But it’s definitely not for everybody.
