I was thinking about this, but after hearing about what witnesses heard, it may not have been him driving. The vehicle he drive was a rear engined Porsche, which tend to make inexperienced drivers slide out of control easier (he left with another person with the intention of taking a five minute drive, it is speculated it wasn't Walker driving).

Porsches in general mostly have their own little quirks drivers need to be aware of, such as the 944's tendency to hydroplane at the slightest bit of water on the road.

I'd like to see who was actually behind the wheel. The witnesses said they heard the engine rev up way high and then the crash. Had Walker been driving, I'm sure he wouldn't have allowed the engine to rev up that high. I may be wrong though.

And despite they douchey characters he played on film, off-screen he was a pretty good guy. Had his own charity, never really did any of that dysfunctional crap most stars get into.

RIP dude.

Oh and guys, if you want to drive fast, do it on the track. Imagine if his vehicle his someone on the street. The track is more fun anyway.

Celebrities have the money for fast exotic cars but usually not the training and experience to drive them.

This is true in some cases, but a reputable dealer will strongly recommend taking lessons.

As I said before, most Porches have quirks that need to be addressed. The one that was involved in this accident had a tendency to spin out from the rear end due to engine placement.

Sounds like you're thinking of the 911 with it's aft engine pendulum effect. The CGT is simply a 610hp beast that is notorious for losing traction if one is not absolutely judicious with the throttle application. Even Walter Röhrl found the CGT scary calling it "one of the most dangerous cars on the road".

This seems like a pretty simple case of two guys screwing around and the CGT bit them bad. Not the first time, and won't be the last.

I loved the all wheel drive in my old Stealth. It was very forgiving. AWD just seems like a superior design altogether.
