"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

So I've made an observation recently since I've been going to the pub a lot (I know terrible habit). It's quite a big place so I've been meeting a lot of new people. I'm only 19 and so obviously a lot of these guys are older than me and of course as you get with the stereotype of middle age men that drink too much, they judge each other on bravado rather than social subtlety and intelligence. I'm not saying I don't like a laugh and to take the piss a bit but some people really can't have an intellectual conversation that requires back and forth contributions. I don't mean to sound high and mighty; I like to give my view as well as listening to opposing views, just like most of you here on sosauve. So since meeting these people I've noticed that I enjoy myself a lot more when they a) they respect me and b)we're on the same intellectual wave length. I think a lot if people, myself included, have a habbit of talking to chilling with people we don't really like or respect and they usually feel the same about us. From a game point of view, I noticed a woman that is often there will be much more attentive to me when I'm with my friends rather than hers who I don't really talk to much. As soon as I join their group she loses interest because I can't dominate a social setting that I have no interest in dominating. The take home point is, only speak to those who show you the respect and attention you feel worthy of.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I would argue the take away is talk to whoever you want, and if some chick loses interest because you don't dominate her social clique then it's her loss

It's another way to "not" waste your time.
