Online profile: I've been inspired

Based on a recent thread I thought I'd post a new online profile for your consideration.

I'm an explorer. Traveling to new places, eating new foods, or turning
left when I should turn right. There is a whole world of places to
visit and I want to see them all.

Exploring the depths of my soul, I have discovered interests in books,
music and the arts. I read everything from the latest Harry Potter
adventure to Chuck Palahnuik and all stops in between. My taste in
music is equally varied. Country, Jazz, Rock and Classical all have
a place.

I'm seeking a follow explorer. A woman of depth and character. Someone
interesting who will join me on my adventures.

Work in some humor somewhere, there's no humor at all in your profile. Maybe even a little C+F.

It's nicely written, but does come across as a bit boring and sweet. Sure, you list fascinating activities, but the profile doesn't really inspire excitement.

In my personal experience of writing profiles, the honest and straight-talking approach worked better than anything else I tried. I.e. no bragging, no fancy lines, just basic facts..."this is who I am, this is what I like, this is who I'm interested in meeting". It was politely written, but just had a kind of take it or leave it attitude about it.

Another thing that worked effectively was emphasising who I don't want to talk to, i.e. "Not interested in cybersex or watching attention wh0res on webcams, so please save your time."

You wouldn't believe how many women lapped that up and sent me mails like "You're so different to most guys here" or "It's refreshing to see a guy like you" and so on. It's a good way to distinguish yourself from the usual crowd.
