Okay so that girl i was talking about....

Okay, so there's this girl at lunch i talk to sometimes. She's a freshman, and we mess with eachother. We'll call her girl X. X and my sister (who is a freshman also) don't really like eachother, and the X actually has talked to my sister about me before. Last night, that X's friend adds me on facebook, and sends me a message with X's phone number in it.
What exactly does this mean. I've never talked to X's friend in my entire life, and she goes ahead and adds me on facebook, and gives me X's number.
How would you interpret this???????

PS: on a side note, X might like you, and told her friend to give you her number, maybe she thinks giving you her number directly would be too much of an IOI. Her friend should have at least said hi or something.. X and her friends seem pretty lame and weird to be honest. Just don't get emotionally involved.

Okay, she sent me a message titled "X's #" and then inside was the number. Nothing else. i don't know why. It's kind of weird. X's friend just sent it to me in a message. That's it

I would call her, and neg her on being shy and not having the balls to give out her # herself.

You have complete right to be ****y/having higher status, and interpret/mis-interpret everything she does/says as her hitting on you.

I would take the lead if she wants me to, take her out, but keep qualifying her, and keep accusing her (playfully) of liking me:

- I'm very high maintanence, you've got to wine and dine me.
- When did you first realize you were attracted to me?

If she playfully denies:
"Yeah right, you're totally going to write about me in your diary tonight. It's going to be all like..." (said in a girly voice) "DEAR DIARY, I MET THIS TOTALLY CUTE GUY NAMED <your name> TODAY, HE'S REALLY COOL AND SMART AND FUNNY, AND I HOPE HE LIKES ME BECAUSE I TOTALLY LIKE HIM! BUT I CAN'T TELL ANYONE BECAUSE BOYS HAVE COOTIES! HEART SMILEY FACE <her name>!"
