What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

When I used to get this way I would date women who were lower than my normal standards, just to have some companionship.
Consider each date like a night out of drinking. Go out, have fun. The next day, it's gone, done, and overwith.
Don't do it with the expectation that you will see her again past that night, just like you wont see the actual beer you drank last night again (well ok you will one more time, but its not beer anymore at that point lol) Hopefully you catch my drift. Maybe you will see her but don't count on it.
