Nelly Furtado gained a lot of weight.

In 2006, when the "Loose" album was released, Nelly Furtado was already a single mom because her first kid was born in 2003. Furtado was 27 in 2006.

"Loose" is the album with the song "Promiscuous", which was her biggest hit.

I had no idea Furtado was a single mom already during her peak.

That seems to happen to everyone in the rural American Midwest where I live. Everyone's fat. Some fat people get on Ozempic and lose weight, but then they look like a deflated balloon.

Nelly got pregnant in 2003, when she just turned 24. She got pregnant when she was not married or engaged, She got pregnant by a younger man, her boyfriend was 23 years old.

Her boyfriend was a composer in the music industry, he did not go to University and study 4 years and get a degree and get a job with a biweekly paycheque,

Currently he is 46 and she is 48. Their love child is 21 years old. Her picture below.

I don't think I have a favourite like that anymore..

Back then a girl like NF could take me to the cleaners whenever she felt like. Same with prime Megan, Jessica alba and some blonde looking women.

Nowadays I slept/ dated / cohabited with enough women like that to know they're not sweet little angels at all...

So : NONE.

JLo is working hard to prove wrong that stereotype.
Furtado reminds me of Pierce Brosnan's wife ... I think it's much more about unresolved deep seated issues than poor genetics when we see women who've been slim throughout their entire life get morbidly obese in their late 30s and 40s.

Who knows? Maybe they're unhappy with their choices in life such as career/husband but feel they have to keep on for appearances sake. So they're living a fake life and that usually takes a toll on you. That's why the lives of most influencers are a mess.

Maybe they feel inadequate or unworthy. Bottom line, I see it as a total lie the way they put on a front of happiness and I love you no matter what you look like, as the Brosnans do. It would be more honest to simply state that they don't know what's happening but they're working on figuring it out.

As a side note, I believe the 'quick fixes' such as Ozempic are only addressing the symptoms, not the root causes. And even on that, they don't do a good job. (because people using these drugs don't lose weight the healthy way ... they disproportionately lose muscle mass and get saddled with a host of other health issues).

Yikes. Some comedian had joke that goes something like-

“Your eyes are as blue as a clear sunny day”
”Your hair is golden like fields of wheat”
”Your smile is warm like the morning sun”
”Your ass is huge like a Mack truck, enough with the bread already”

She explains that she had two kids back to back in a short time period. This is an example of what happens to many women when they have kids. A lot of women go through life on easy street. Ride their looks as long as they can without getting daily exercise or putting in any effort. By the time they have a kid and hit middle age, the lack of effort catches up with them. It all depends on your daily routine. She is a public figure so we have several before-after photos to compare.

Same thing happened to Jennifer Love Hewitt. Two kids back to back. At the same time, I know a handful of milfs in my social circle that look like motherhood did not phase them. Those women have some type of workout routine like running or OrangeTheory.

Funny being a parent and meeting couples when your kids start Kindergarten, the moms are young and hot AF. Most of them look unrecognizable by the time high school graduation comes around.

“OMG, WTF happened to her? What a shame“ is the typical thought comes to mind.
