There is this girl that I know really likes me. She lives about 70 miles from me. Well she lost her cell phone and hasn't got a new one yet. Her parents can't find out about me so I can't call her home phone. She wants to talk over MSN but I am highly against in except for rare occasions in relationships. Her friend has a cell phone and they are together some. I don't want her to lose interest by not contacting her, but I don't like using MSN. Should I just call her friend every once in a while and see if she is with her?

I agree.
And if you really wanted to talk to her you would just talk to her on MSN. It's better than nothing. Plus, then you could IM her and have her call you, so you wouldn't be calling her home phone.
What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
