There's a girl I have been briefly chatting with online, she lives about an 1 hour away from me. We don't know each other that well but I'm sure we'd click. I may have planned a meeting too soon. Anyway I invited her to a sports game and she said she had family plans (tradition) to go up to the mountains, whether or not this is true she said she couldn't go but still wants to get together for coffee, etc. Well I couldn't go to the sports game either, something came up so the tickets are still good. I kind of want to ask her to go to another game at a later time, but to me it sounds like a weak, desparate second attempt. What would you do? Thanks.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I would just go grab some coffee or what not with her, and if that goes well, then ask her to the next sports game.

Take a friend then tell her what a good time she missed out on. Have coffee with her later. You don't even know this chick yet.

Yeah, I spent some time thinking about it and coincidently this is what I decided to do even before you wrote, but thanks anyway Ed, I agree.
