"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Hi all,

I just got a message from a chick on myspace and we started talking a bit over MSN, and we are planning to meet up soon. Now my problem is this...

I haven't gone out on a date in years, so I'm kind of out of shape. How should I approach this? Have any pointers on what we could do? Thanks, and advice is greatly appreciated.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

dunno, where do you live? I'd recommend something that helps promote physical contact... if you can find a nice lounge with soft, good music...that would set the atmosphere as well

I've got on my msn that I got off myspace and she is really hot and I'm in the same situation as I want to meet up but have no idea where to take her and if it goes well I'd like to take her to my formal because it would blow all my mates away.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Ihave no clue as of yet...I really don't know where to take her. But she has agreed to smoke a joint with me, but somehow I really don't think that would be a good idea...

You shouldnt "date" really. Tell her you want to "hang out" instead. Take all the formalities of meeting a stranger out of it and get her comfortable....

Those of you that date on myspace..Does the "Here For" section play a role in bringing more traffic to your page. For example if someone has here for networking and another guy has here for dating, serious relationships, networking, etc. does the second guy get more hits on his page from randos?
