"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I'm 24.

I'd love to get good at daytime. I'm at university, but I don't hang out there - just go to classes and then off to work. I have started quite a few conversations with chicks in my classes, but I don't really class these as approaches cos I never intended to ask them out -- I just felt like meeting them.

To reiterate: to me an "approach" is going up to her, opening her with whatever, and asking an "at risk" type question -- number, date, instadate etc. Or, at a slightly lower level, but still "riskier" is opening her with, or making very soon after an opening, an unambiguously sexual comment/compliment -- of course, such a comment tends to naturally lead to asking her out, but in just case you don't, I would stil class an approach that includes a comment like this an "approach", albeit a slightly lesser one.

to explain it further, the reason I don't class the conversations I have at uni with chicks as "approaches", even when I do in fact open them is that it's just such a low risk environment and it's EASY to just get talking and laughin. But I can do that all day and never actually RISK anything (which is, in fact, what happens), so to me it's not a REAL approach.

(I don't drink, btw, well, maybe one or two, but I'm never walking the streets "drunk".)

At the moment, daytime just seems really awkward to me. Some days, I feel really good, confident and pumped up, and I feel "on the verge" of busting out some his and how's it goings, but at that "crunch" moment I back out. For now, anyway.

As I mentioned in the last post though, I'm feeling much improved over how I was even two weeks ago. It might seem silly to call this "improvement", but that's only if you take a black/white view. I'm still not approaching, so in this sense there's no improvement. However, in my mind, the way i FEEL about the idea, I am WAY "closer" to it than a couple of months ago. The thought of it feels a lot more "normal" to me now. A few months ago, the idea seemed almost "fantastic", like who ARE these people that go around doing this stuff?? Today, it's not like that at all.

However, to be honest, I'm actulaly more interested in 'night game'. If I had a choice of which one I could excel at, I'd pick night any day. (Lol) People make the point that chicks have their "defences" up in night game, but I'm pretty confident that I'm a kinda guy they'd like to meet, so that aspect of it doesn't really bother me.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I think considering talking to somebody in class isn't exactly an approach, either. Good if you do it but youd be fooling yourself to count them as approaches.

I don't know what it is about myself. But if a chick gives me (long enough) eye contact, I walk up to her and say "hi" and she says "hi" back and I can talk to her for a couple of minutes, I really don't think I would have any problem to ask for her number or something like that, because Id feel that its totally clear whats going on. Like..Id have huge issues and would feel stupid asking a chick for the time and then talking to her and then asking for her number (expecting to get blown off anyways). But if shes already looking at me and obviously giving me EC..and I can start talking to her, I really wouldnt feel any strange asking for her number, I guess.

But anyways, Ima take a shower, put on some fresh clothes and go out there!
