"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

But the reason I wanna have this talk too was to tell her off. I know i know I don't have to and its not neccessary, but other than just being seen with other chicks and making HER suffer, I want the opportunity to have her accuse me of intentionally making her jealous thus making me lash at her.
You're a goddam drama queen. Why the hell are you intent on meeting up with her just to burn a goddam bridge?

I can't believe you're still letting this woman continue to dictate your life. She's your ex, and she's telling you to meet her, at her convenience, with her fvcking jury there, and you're obeying her commands like a mindless, lifeless robot.

She's a goddam ex. Employees who got fired from their jobs don't go back and do extra work for their ex-bosses for free. Why the hell are you bowing down to this b1tches wants and needs? Cut the goddam puppet strings and live your own life.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

This was a wasted thread. The only reason you started it is you hoped someone would tell you that she still cares about you and wants to be with you and that's the reason she wants to talk. It's your life and your experience to learn from though so have at it. Make sure you come back and tell the truth so we can all say that we told you so.

No honestly, I didnt need the thread to tell me that. "Actions speak louder than words." and she said it all with the way she was acting. If you guys want, Ill tell you guys about it with full honesty. I havent posted something that I didnt learn from any of my prior experiences or have given advice as to where Ive been. Yea, I admit im a stubborn person and like you said "Its your life and your experience to learn from". When I ask opinions from close friends I always make sure to compare it too the ones im given here, so don't think im not taking into consideration what this place has taught me. Hell, I enjoy critisicm. If it works out or not, ill tell you guys all about it.
