4) What is the best day for us to do this? Remember - all 10 rejections must be gathered in one single day. It cannot be broken up into 2 or more days. I'm thinking we do this Saturday, March 27th, but I am open to suggestions.

1) This is great because it will encourage guys to make approaches regardless of the outcome, and it's not an extensive bootcamp either! I think there should be more of these, maybe weekly or monthly DJ exercises to encourage everyone on this board to practice the material.

2) My greatest concern is that my first approach took me more than 2 hours of walking up and down main street, and I finally asked my friends to help push me before I could finally do it. My second approach took me under 5 minutes, but the girl I approached wasn't very good looking as compared with my first approach, where it was a set of two very fine college girls.

3) Any action is more beneficial than inaction. Getting intentionally rejected 10 times is a great way to expand someone's comfort zone in both approaching women and getting rejected by women. Afterwards I'm hoping it will be like:

Approach a woman?? I can do that in my sleep now. I got rejected?? Big fvckin deal, I have balls now.

4) Weekdays are much better for me, any day but Friday really.

Hello, I'm new this board and I sort been a long time lurker. I saw this and want to join in on the fun.Count me in.

1) What do you think? I think this would be great exercise in the right direction for me. I'm person who lack confidence in many aspect in my life and I feel this will help me on that.

2) What are your greatest concerns?Just dealing with the feelings of rejection and keep going after getting rejected by the first or second girl.

3) Do you feel this will be of benefit, or not? And why?I believe this will benefit because it will help me become more outgoing. Hopeful after I be able to have conversations with random girl or people. In order to build confidence you have start somewhere.

I think its awesome. Rejection is my biggest fear. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED!!

Of course, not only will it improve my boldness and confidence to walk up to any girl that excites me, I will be able to improve my social skills.

Can you imagine having to strike up a conversation with just about any girl you like? THATS AWESOME!!!

I can do it on a school day(from monday through thursday). There are plenty of girls out there that I can get rejected by.

First of all, my apologies for not posting sooner, but I've been in bed with a bad cold these last few days.

Anyway, gentlemen thank you for all your posts. I didn't expect this much excitement - this is going to be one hell of an event!

I've read all your input and am in the process of creating the final outline of the Approach Challenge. I expect that I will have it up by tomorrow (or by Thursday at the latest).

But to give you a heads up and to prepare yourself, we will be doing this on Saturday, March 27th. So set your schedule!

Good questions... the short answer is no, simply because neither of these are a true rejection (though it can feel like being rejected). HOWEVER, I like these ideas, and will be incorporating them within the handicaps for Advanced DJs. So thank you for the suggestions!

Al Moh., you are too kind. Yeah, I didn't think that I would post again either, but after a five year adventure in LTRs, I'm back! I learned a lot over the last five years, and in the future perhaps I will write up some of the things that I've learned and discovered.

Right now though, it's time to make up for lost time!

I'm in. I really have been wanting to do this before, but I just never know what to say to girls other then random witty things in the opener. I guess for this rejection thing I'll go in standard like "Hi my name is x what's yours" or whatever. I need some opener ideas or conversation starters. Also how soon do you guys ask for the # and get rejected after the opener, few minutes? Right away? Does it matter?

I'll have more detailed instructions in the actual challenge thread with details on all this.

How does it work though, do you game a girl like normal and try to number close? Do goofy lines and try to go for the number? Go right away for the number?

That depends on whether you do the Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced version. I'll have more details on this later.

No, it's not me, but that was an excellent article and very similar to my experience. Thank you for sharing, this only confirms what I've always believed, that getting rejected 10 times in one day was not only a life-changing event for me, but for others who have also done it.

I think you might be putting the cart before the horse. Don't worry about things like this, they somehow have the tendency to resolve themselves.

Since I don't wanna make a whole post about it, I'm gonna thread jack just a bit. 2 months out of a 3.666 year relationship. Rollo was right about not moving in with a chick you do not plan to marry in 6 months. Also, never ever move into Her place. The humor and romance and eventually sex went poof. I've just finished contacting all the girls still in my town that I was ever interested in, dated a couple, no luck. Should have reread my comment sooner about how if you know a chick too long it looks like a desperate maneuver. So, I gotta meet some new ladies and first I gotta work on that all important confidence factor. Not too confident these days, older, slightly balding, the effects of smoking for a long time, career in limbo. Obviously need to start a health routine and figure out my career situation, but I'll post that elsewhere. I don't think I should wait on any one item on the checklist to start the others.

To the questions:

1) What do you think?

Sounds almost too easy. It's probably fair to say i'm back at a beginner level though, so I'll start with that.

2) What are your greatest concerns?

As always, I'm not concerned with what the girl thinks, but the surrounding people and unforeseen ripple effects. I'm great one on one but not good with groups. Perhaps another challenge could be to get rejected by 10 groups? haha.

3) Do you feel this will be of benefit, or not? And why?

I think it will be a great kick start and perhaps get me over some silly fears and build some confidence. The only way to build confidence is competency through action.

i don't think it'll help me that much. going through my phone today i realize i have way too many numbers and girls with names like kylie that i wish i remembered and it makes me wonder what the hell am i doing wrong? although not in all cases, most of the time i'll get the number and start over thinking, over planning, fearing the call because of the feeling that i'm not ready. all this causes hesitation.

the very fact that you're asking us for our opinions about it shows a bit of a lack of confidence in the program. a way better challenge and an even better confidence builder is if you had everyone actually try and end up getting the number.

1.) it puts them in the mind-frame to succeed, which increases the chance of success, builds calibration/understanding
2.) failure is then seen as opportunity to prove yourself more and work on game, not as an actual "rejection" (which was the main goal)
3.) it's basically the same game, except you get to reap the rewards of the possibility in the end
4.) it gets rid of approach anxiety more effectively

your idea has some truth behind it though, we succeed because we fail. yes but we don't want to purposely fail do we? that's like me turning on super mario and walking straight into the turtles 10 times. what are we going to learn from that? what we want to do is to be able to get to that last level and about to beat that boss but then the power shuts off and all your data is lost but be glad we went through it.

i think a great way to play the game is to put yourself in very difficult situations instead for example instead of planning to take her to your dorm when nobody is there, try sexing her when your roommate is on your top bunk awake playing video games while your best friend is sleeping next to you. No, not because it'll be some pimp **** but because it'll sharpen the brain (no sex pun intended). a challenge is crucial for a successful seduction. i noticed that even my AFC friend had this knowledge in front of him but he did not fully have the proper understanding on how to utilize it, he played up his weakness quite well telling her after she was pretty that he himself was very ugly (causing her to laugh). bringing up that her mom strongly disliked him and would inevitably cause problems. what brought his fate was his actual belief of his false disqualifications. he thought the fact that she went to a good college and he wasn't doing jack **** with his life disqualified him and he ended up turning into a little wuss boy telling her that she was his happy vitamin, driving miles and miles to see her everyday, he constantly would rant and rave about all his misfortunes of her mother not liking him and the fact that she was "smarter". My friend and I would do everything to convince him of what was still possible but he had a very hard time believing it which depresses me as i type this... i'd hate to have to quote a book that i haven't finished reading yet but it is by the author of the beloved "art of seduction" so it must not be of little value to us, "learn how to turn **** into sugar"
