There are like two parts to San Jose. The east part with lots of crappy traffic and driving and where the Saturday night races go on and the west part with all the nice shopping malls and Stevens Creek area. If your dad is getting caught up in tech then you'll probably end up over on the west side. It's a calmer enviroment, but lots of people go to the west side for fun.

Oh an interesting tidbit...there are some nice lookin women at Santana Row which is on Stevens Creek Blvd. It's like the local Rodeo Drive/Beverly hills shiet. One cool thing about the place is that the have free outside movies each wednesday night during the summer. I just came back from there. Bunch of people go, bring blankets, snacks, and drinks, and watch the movie. It's tight. Snuggle up with your girl and enjoy. Tonight they showed Bringing Down the House. It was a good time.
