what are the rules for living with females, esp. friends of a friend that you do not know but will be sharing an apt. with. Is a hookup out of the question?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

There aren't exactly rules but I don't think it'd be too wise if you're on a year-long lease to have some dumb **** happen due to the hookup halfway through. If you're coming through briefly as a subletter it's different. I've lived with girls and trust me, they do enough annoying girl stuff (seriously, how the **** do they talk for 2 hours about absolutely nothing in broad emotional terms?) without the added problems that can come with hooking up.

Well since its three months, have at it, just do what you do, but definately avoid coming on two strong because it will really build up steam if they don't like you, and they can't feed you the normal crap because they live with you.
If you can make your moves just right you could very well end up with both of them, who knows, maybe both at the same time.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
