We're all really here to improve ourselves.
I've tried a lot of things: affirmations, NLP, lists of goals, and so on.
But through all of that, do you know what I find is THE most effective motivator?
Find a photo of an amazing woman. Not some supermodel. Someone whom you BELIEVE would be perfect for you in every way--hot, intelligent, high status, loving, whatever combination it is.
Put that photo as your desktop wallpaper. You'll see it every day.
Think to yourself, "would I be with me if I were her?"
The answer might come back "no." If it does, it'll also have a "why".
Maybe you think you're too short, too skinny, too fat, too bald, too boring, too broke. Maybe your life isn't very interesting.
Whatever it is, pick something, and improve it. Keep looking at that picture and keep asking yourself what it is about yourself you still need to improve.
Personally, I have a serious case of one-itis for Shania Twain, but I use it in a positive way, as explained above.
This is my motivator:

Please don't make this thread about my choice of picture, lol. Take the deeper message, whatever it is for you.
