I have to decided to suggest a series of missions guys can do. I have tried to make them very applicable and useful, but in some cases you won't see the reason why you do them until it;'s already complete. (if you already read my previous post related to this, here is a clearer explanation without all my own personal obversations and biases).
Mission #1:
Find 6 advertisements from a magazine that appeals to women such as COSMO
See if you can find any of the following
1) Appeal to or creation of needs.. love, status, aesthetics, safety, security, etc.
2) social or prestige suggestion.. like you should buy something because others do or the ad suggest a famous (or expert) person does.
3) loaded words and images... attractive people?, images of positive social situations? buzzwords.
Then do the same with male magazine ads. Compare and contrast the differences. What is going on here? Feel free to post questions or observations, but each person should do the exercise before reading any comments.
