Tangent, but the more fat I lose, the less I enjoy soft comfy stuff in general. At 235-285 I very comfortably sunk into couches and chairs. At 210-215 right now, I no longer "sink in" as much, and I enjoy firmer surfaces more - I.E. back then I would have preferred to sit in a Lexus or a Cadillac, while now I'm more into the feel of a BMW or Audi seat.Jariel said:

I've seen the studies and I wont pretend to know the science behind it, but if I were to venture an opinion I'd say that if you tracked the levels of obesity and our increasingly sedentary lifestyles since 1980 you'd see a correlation with this drop in testosterone. When you take into consideration that children are becoming obese at earlier ages now with all the reasons for this increase and you weigh this against their hormonal development when they reach puberty you'll see a stunting in this hormonal development. Take into account also that American women have become increasingly more fat in recent years and with this comes a decreased 'actual arousal' (meaning real sex, not porno) level.
Strenuous exercise has been proven in many studies to stimulate endocrine, endorphine and hormonal release in the body (think 'runners high'). With decreased activity levels, the healthy release of hormones becomes atrophied.
Personally, I work out 4 times a week and put 30 minute cardio sessions in on my off days and I'm just as horny now as I was in my 20's. I have regular sex with a beautiful wife and even this has it's health benefits.

Test levels have dropped because guys don't want to lift heavy weights because they'd crease their metrosexual pink wifebeaters if they put a bar across their shoulders or are too scared of 'getting big', and have been fed into the government guidelines of high carb, low fat diets.. whereas it's the fat in your diet that actually keeps your hormone levels high (including test).
People look down on guys who pound the red meat and the iron as meathead freaks, but hell, I have a problem keeping it DOWN rather than getting it up..

E-status or real life status, you have to gain status (respect) for people to listen to you. This way, my advice (through lots of real life experience) actually gets put to use.
