The legal age of consent here is 16 (I think that was raised from 14). Once someone is of legal age then they can choose for themselves. As long as I'm not in a position of authority or have anything really to do with them, then whatever I said is perfectly legal here. Do you have a different legal age of consent in your country? You do not think 16 year olds do not have the capacity to make choices as to who they want to have as their boyfriend?

Like I said, when I'm at a store, I may, or may not flirt with the cashier. By flirting, I mean engaging in some chit chat which goes beyond the immediate business issue, and which may, or may not involve asking personal but socially appropriate questions (i.e. if she's in school, if she lives around there, etc....). I don't choose the age of the cashier or whomever is working at the store that I'm talking to and I don't ask that question. In my isolated type of world, this is the only passive social interaction I have with any women so it's not like I choose who I'm passively talking with.
