It's PUA crap. Chicks will escalate if we let them. Better to busy yourself with screening before that happens.

Escalate with touching, not shoving your tongue into some woman's mouth when she doesn't want it. You start to caress her thighs, small of her back while walking, arms, neck. When you go into for a kiss, test the waters.. See if her face meets you half way. If not, go for a hug and call it a night. However, I still believe it's best to go for a kiss on the second date. Builds tension and frustration in her head which can actually building favor for you as she's thinking either A, she wasn't good enough. B, he's not interested. C, he has other options.

it's an illusion...just letting her know in one instance is fine. No need to go overboard.
