Sometimes it is puzzling why a few rich businessmen are liberals. I think it's "wealth guilt" to coin a term. They think they need to be on the liberal side to compensate for being the "big bad rich guy." Whatever floats their boat.

Or sometimes they have a business interest that benefits from certain liberal policies.

Or sometimes it's just for PR or PC purposes.

PC is definitely one reason.....but if you look at the leftist ideology, it makes it very difficult to rise to the top when you are getting bled to death.

That's an apt explanation. Is there anything more hypocritical or more loathsome than a wealthy and powerful white male who espouses the liberal agenda, like say a US senator, talk show host or CEO ? They're willing to throw everyone else that fits their identity under the bus with their support of things like affirmative action, but they hold to their position of power and wealth themselves. Then most reprehensible and hypocritical, they smugly claim the moral high ground for "supporting disadvantaged" women and non-whiteys.

All liberals play the "privileged white male" and apex fallacy card, and it's hypocritical when women Senators and non-whitey President does it, but extra hypocritical when say Harry Reid, Joe Biden or Warren Buffet does it.
