The easiest way to start a conversation with anybody is
1)make a remark on anything situational. If you see somebody at a grocery store and you like a certain brand of yogurt, you can say something like "you ever try that yogurt? it's really excellent blah blah"
2)After a bit of situational conversation, introduce yourself and ask them personal questions starting with as casual as possible (escalating how personal the questions are the more you talk to them)
3)Get to know as much about the other person as possible
4)If you have a lot in common/have great chemistry, ask for a number
This goes for both talking to women and making friends. The success level is going to be based on 3 things
1)how good you look/how good of a package you are
2)how receptive the other person is
3)How good your attitude is. If you are friendly, confident, carefree and just a genuinely great person, people naturally gravitate towards you
I feel like we all make a big deal out of this but the vast majority of people are pretty friendly...especially if you look good and have an excellent presentation. The goal is to be able to generate great chemistry with almost anybody you meet.
