So it happened again... and again in the USA.

Sunday Night, a single shooter opened fire on a crowd gathering for a concert at the Mandalay Bay Hotel on the Strip of Las Vegas (a main hotel in the area... I even was staying there for a while)

It is said he was on the 32nd floor... started shooting... killing 50 people and injured 200... all that alone. Police was able to kill him a few moments later.

64 years old white guy, the police is looking for is ''asian female partner''.

Going now in the UK... Arianna Grande concert was bombed killing 27 people.

I feel we will see more and more people going to attack Concerts... Why? Big crowd, ALOT of noise, people are focused on the band more than the surrounding, relatively low security, you have a strong element of surprise etc... making it so easier

Okay look folks there is a reason why all these shootings are happening so frequently. SOMEONE doesn’t want us to have guns. When you live in the US, you can’t trust your government. Plain and simple. This is just a way to get them to be more corrupt with us having less power to do anything about it. And it was 200 injured, not 400. You cannot possibly promote antigun propaganda in the US without living here.

This is tragic... It's tough hearing about more reporting of mass shootings in recent years. Thoughts and prayers with these families who lost their loved ones and with those who are still wounded and being treated in hospitals.

Governments have killed 20x more people in the 20th century than individual gun owners have.

Politicians and Governments are predisposed to gaining more power at the expense of the citizens. For THESE REASONS, Governments MUST NOT be the moral authority on gun ownership. They will inevitably use it for destruction of their own people.

While there will be people screaming bloody murder for gun control, there is a very effective free market solution to this, if the government allows it.

However, it does require that people stop believing in the governments ability to protect them from harm wherever they go.

As @Bible_Belt mentioned, hotels anywhere near public areas will now screen for guns/bullets. Since it's their private property, they can do what they want.

Any concert organizer who's not an idiot will organize concerts in protectable places, and build in the cost of security into the tickets. Any concern next to a large hotel, for example, could easily hire a few snipers to watch the windows for any in case if this occurrence. (ten snipers for five hours divided by the total number of tickets would be pretty cheap)

This is indeed a tragedy, but now that it's happened, it can be prevented with simple steps that don't require federal gun legislation.

That's kind of the way life works. Unexpected sh*t happens, then normal people learn and make sure that particular sh*t never happens again.

That's why we have those super safety locks on pill bottles. Once upon a time a guy put poison in OTC meds and society collectively learned from that oversight.

That is a good point that a bomb would have killed a lot more people. Tim McVeigh's u-haul blowing up in a 20,000 person crowd would have killed thousands. That bomb had two ingredients - diesel fuel and ammonium nitrate, a very common fertilizer. Every corn farmer in America could be a mad bomber if they wanted to be.
