She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
oh come on...no way am I condoning him shooting her or even hitting her, but 3 months pregnant and out partying, he thinks she might be cheating, 'friends' arent going to say she was taking this singers guy load down her neck are they? diagnosing him with PS because of this incident???Bible_Belt said:The story this morning is that the girlfriend went to a 'Trey Songz' concert Friday night and then to the afterparty with her friends. He didn't want her to go out, which is what they were fighting over. Her friends are saying that Belcher was obsessed with the idea that she must be cheating on him with the Trey Songz guy. It sounds a little like paranoid schizophrenia to me, and an increased risk of schizophrenia has been linked to head trauma.
Agreed. She may have been a horrible person, I don't know. Didn't know her personally. But being a bad person generally doesn't merit the death penalty.backbreaker said:I wont' comment on this until they autopsy comes back. though I agree with zekko.. i'm generally anti kill GF
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

he obviously had bit wrong with his head to even contemplate shooting her but in the coming weeks/months, the truth will filter out about the background
I wonder if he was on booze and pills when he shot her 9 times. Booze and pills can make you do some crazy things. What kind of pills were they?Findog said:http://deadspin.com/5964917/friend-...on-domestic-tensions-played-role-in-shootings
Dude was drinking heavily every night, abusing pills, had a head injury. I'd want to get my three-month old baby out of there too. She may have been a typical immature 22 year old, but I don't blame her for leaving him, and she didn't deserve to die.
She was happy enough to get pregnant to him, pills, head injury, booze or not...I smell a cunning plan!!!Findog said:http://deadspin.com/5964917/friend-...on-domestic-tensions-played-role-in-shootings

The b!tch used him and then cheated on him, and it drove him crazy? Maybe she is BPD. Most likely this is it.betheman said:She was happy enough to get pregnant to him, pills, head injury, booze or not...I smell a cunning plan!!!
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
