"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I'm going to rant for a little bit. I met a new wing this weekend. He seems like a cool dude, and is a friend of a friend. My original wing talked him up, how great he was, how laidback he was, etc. Then I met him in person. He's a good looking, pretty laidback guy. As far as his personality, however, things were different. This new guy just AMOG'ed the living crap out of me the entire night. He would walk into my set, try to completely take over, literally walking between me and the girls. When I tried to be sociable with him, he would not talk back. He completely ignored me. In fact, his first question for me was: "how many women have you banged?" I thought this was kind of an odd way of putting it. Whenever I told him of some of my past adventures, he would sneer: "dude, that sounds like bullsh*t to me."

I was very confused about what was going on. I spoke to him again the next day, just the two of us hanging out at the mall. I was dressed like ****. Gym clothes, hadn't shaved, etc. He seemed much more comfortable around me.

I think what happened is, he was freaking out because I was peacocking and drawing so much female attention, it kicked in an automatic jealousy/competitiveness streak.

I think the lesson to be drawn is this: if you are high value, you have to show some humility and dlv yourself a little bit just to get other people to feel comfortable around you, even guys.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

The strange thing is, he is a good looking kid and has pretty good success picking up women. You would think that jealousy or intimidation would not be issues. Strange.

This explains a lot. A lot of the times in the past, I've wondered, why is this girl or why is this guy staring at me for no reason? They seem to be upset, not smiling, but staring repeatedly. It's a slight intimidation factor on their part, even though I have done nothing to them. I can usually win people over by being super-nice and showering other people with compliments and entertaining them! :)
