"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Okay...I'm kinda new to this stuff, so I don't really understand all of the acronyms and such (I know DJ and AFC :) ) A friend directed me to this website for help.

I've had my eye on this girl for a while. Now, in the past I never considered myself a positive person when it came to asking a girl out. Whenever I liked a girl in the past years, I've always screwed them up by telling the girl how I feel (and after reading the posts, and learning from my mistakes, that WASN'T a good idea...)

So now, for the past few weeks, I've been becoming more and more nervous about the situation. It's almost the end of Grade 10 for us, and then summer. If I don't ask now, I'll have to wait three months. And I don't think I can do that.

For the first time in my life I feel extremely confident about a situation like this. No longer am I daydreaming about being with a girl; I feel as if I'm taking action. It's an odd feeling, but it's exhilerating.

I achieve excellent grades but at the same time manage to be the class clown, and for some reason, because of this, I am able to talk and joke with girls all the time, especially this one.

But how do I ask her? I want to approach her confidentally, but it's weird because she's never seen my "serious" side, if you can call it that. Also, she spends a lot of time with her friends, so the only time I can approach her is in the morning sometime when she goes to her locker. We're not "friends", which is good because I'd hate to be stuck in the friends zone. But how should I ask? And when? I also work this weekend (and she does too, she's told me about her job and such) so should I ask her out friday? Is that safe? Or should I ask her out on the upcoming Monday of the last week of school, and ask if she wants to do something THAT weekend?

Thanks in advance

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Make it seem like a coincidence that you see her on on the same time. Sign on during a time you think she'll be on, but do be on too often. Set up doing something with her and then sign off soon, but not too soon. The longer you talk to her the more of a chance you have of messing up. Don't let her see you on-line too much. She'll think you have no life.

What do you need to know about asking? I don't know your personality or style or whatever, but when I asked a chick to prom, I was like "I think we should go to prom together, because you will have fun," but that might sound odd coming from someone else.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
