Biblicaly speaking... No. God commands man to love his wife and for a woman to respect her husband.
Ephesians 5:33 says
"A husband must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband."
Of course if you don't believe in jesus then this doesnt apply to you. But when a woman feels unloved she gets naturally disrespectful and when a man feels un loved he gets naturally unloving. Its a vicious cyclle and that's why god commands a woman to respect her husband and a man to love his wife due to our natural tendencies as men to become unloving and to women to become disrespectful.
