Yeah it's a trick, I don't know if it's coming from insecurity but she's checking to see if you have interest in her or whether you'd jump on the next girl in a flash. Of course you tell her what she needs to hear without falling for the trick. Fall for the trick and she ejects you (confirming her insecurity that you weren't really into her/are a player)

It reminded me of a similar situation years ago, met a girl in a bar on Sunday afternoon (out from night before) kind of hit it of and sorted logistics back to hers, she wanted to hit her local bar on the way back where her friends where (male and female). Introduced and chatting and she went off to bathroom or whatever, one of her female friends got very close to me......start complimenting me and propositioning me.......I thought something was off as she was very forward and it was her friend....smelt a set up so said out loud...."nah I came with "ella" and I'm leaving with "ella" "......

..they all thought I was a "genuine stand up bloke" after that.

It means her friend probably has told her she likes you and told her friend to "hook her up" or gauge your interest.
