Is there any reason for optimism in dating?

If I'm ever in a college town, I know there are almost always tons of honies at the bars and on campus. Aside from minor dust-ups in the past between clueless PUA's and campus security, college campuses have always been great if you are discrete enough and basically socially normal (which sadly and obviously most pua's are not).

Unfortunately, most campuses are now "closed" or at least restricted meaning you cannot access any building or event without a mask and/or vax card/phone code.

Several local bars have either closed down or have scaled back hours significantly so "bar hopping" is scaled down or no longer happening. In larger metro areas, you also need to mask and have vax "proof" to access businesses indoors.

Meetup has scaled back at least 70% or more for in-person meetups.

I don't bother with swipe apps, but most report they are full of bots, spam and attention seekers, with occasional -4 SMV dates at best.

Not only have the quantity of social events taken a severe hit, but the quality has dipped precipitously: what's the point of going to a park of 90% of the people are wearing masks and sunglasses? That's just sick and bizarre.

There was a small respite this summer but it was as short as a couple of weeks or a month as most large cities and even entire states are fake mandating masks again.

So back to the question, what reasons do we have to be optimistic about dating in the near future?

Get vaxxed then. I'm not getting vaxxed, but might watch porn because I'm mad about the pandemic and the vaccines and unless I get vaxxed before September 25th this year, I think I might look at porn because I'm really mad about this.

Being hooked on porn is depressing and also in most cases, is sucking confidence from man.

That's what ive thought several times too, but each time ive agreed with that suggestion, ive ended up regretting it. I know out of experience that for me, celibacy is better than lowering the bar to women i dont want to interact or have sex with.

This is what this whole site is about. Guys on Sosuave want to have sex with hot, fertile, young girls between 20-29. But they have to know that generally, these women go for the alpha men in their 20s. The tall, dark, handsome, rich, whatever. I can’t think of one hot women in Hollywood who got famous by taking off her clothes AFTER 30, and then got married, had children, and is still married. Before 30 if they take off their clothes on the movie screen they can still get married and get pregnant. After 30? Not so much.

One reason is that you only figured it out after the fact. Before, you thought that sex in itself was enough to make it worth it, but after enough experiences you learned that it wasnt. Post-cvm clarity also reinforced it.

Is it illegal on paper, or is it actually enforced? In Canada it's illegal on paper, but its never enforced in a way that it would feel illegal. The US is probably the same thing. You have to look at how the police departments policy is with enforcement in different jurisdictions and what police are targeting.

I wouldn't use a prostitute here, but I don't like entertaining false beliefs about how police operate. There are lots of laws in the States, and I'm sure any citizen could get arrested and charged with something if the police had it in for someone.
