"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Simple as that, I believe online dating its not the best bet to do but it wouldnt harm to have a profile which could help.

I want to write a profile that doesnt require too much activity, something to write and let it stay there with basic care from me.

More like an advertisement you live on a wall and let people call you.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Clear pictures of your face. Short, simple, c&f that ambiguously talks about you as a person, for your about me section.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Tons. Type this into the Google search bar: "How to build a great dating site profile" and variations of it. There's so much information that you could have found a dozen articles in the time it took you to make your post.

This.

Good pictures are a must. If you don't have good pictures, get them. If you can't, you might as well not bother with online dating at all. A brief, not too serious or detailed description of yourself. Avoid banality ("I enjoy spending time with friends and family...") and saying things like "I'm not good at talking about myself".

Also, keep in mind that tinder is rapidly replacing old school dating sites.

I need to disagree here. ****y and funny doesn't generally work on these profiles, unless you are EXTREMELY good looking and have an EXTREMELY well written profile. In other words, you can't fake ****y by being brief and vague and then throwing one or two brags in there.

In fact data shows that a bit of self-deprecation goes a long, long way on online dating profile. Quite the opposite of your advice.

Do not talk ambiguously about yourself. If you are not a specific type, then you are definitely not her type. You can't attract all women with your profile, so don't worry about being overly specific when describing yourself. You can, however, be too vague to give a woman a sense that she'd actually like to spend any time with you. In that case, you'll miss out on women with whom you might actually have some success.
