I can't fathom a coed, at the peak of Sexual Market Value - and especially looking like this - being "lonely", except if the idea of her being "not lonely" means having Superman as a boyfriend. It seems that it is the easiest thing in a world for a young woman to meet men; it is the men who are experiencing forced loneliness.

Meeting people and connecting with people are two very different things. Connecting with people under 30 or so isn't easy to do and not just because of the age difference and not just people under 30. Everyone is superficial and plugged in these days, glued to their phones and notifications. Allot of people don't even let their guard down and feel like they can be themselves, until they've gotten a little alcohol or weed in them.

Yes. I know a hot girl who is an engineer. She pretty much just goes by herself. Likes to stay at home, play video games and watch anime. Proper loner.

The "lonely" part is believable but it's by her own choice. She's probably introverted.
