It seems to me that this is just a case of heat of the moment competitive disgust in not being able to be the official Mrs. to the Alpha.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

Its not only normal, its actually the rule and the same things happen when a man is in deep contact with his mom and the wife cant stand it( or the opposite not sure).

Yes. Even most of your sluttiest mistresses don't really like being the other woman for that long. Eventually they want to be the only one. They obviously can't resent YOU because you're the one they want, they can only start resenting their obstacles.

That's why, if you're married, it's easier to pay for play. Sleazier but easier.
