I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
Yep. I should know, done it once or twice - you may as well get hunting knife out and slice off your own balls.MedDude said:Topic
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
That's hard as fvck immediately after a breakup. All those emotions swirling around...the pain...You know that takes time. We can sit on the sidelines all day & tell him this, but the dude is going through some heavy stuff if he wants closure.DJDamage said:Breakup is closure there is nothing more to discuss, think of it as "breakup opportunity" where you should be thinking instead of how great it is to be free and single again to chase a whole other slew of asses.
This is a thread all by itself bro. But a typical relationship is never going to have closure because the two people were never friends in the 1st place. So, there is no way they can be friends after.Mauser96 said:Can someone describe "closure" to me?
My take is it is where the two of you sit down, discuss what happened, why you love each other, but it is soooo much better than you simply part ways, move on and be friends.
Now, if that is what you think it is? Don't hold your breath - in real life this rarely happens. What happens is they start to drift apart, for various reasons, and argue more until the final big blowup (or one cheats) , and then they part on bad terms, go into isolation to lick their wounds and reflect on things, then emerge and begin dating others. They hate each other for awhile but in time, may or may not become friends. After a few years, they probably can..
But the scenario where they sit together, cry, hug, talk and part as friends rarely happens.
So, what I am saying, is "closure" is a myth.
Thoughts?
Agreed with everything that said also closure is made up by women to make them feel good when they dump a guy for no good reason (or cheated on him for sh1tty reason) and then when they accept their "friendship" offers they can pat themselves on back on a job well done.Mauser96 said:Now, if that is what you think it is? Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
BINGO! Closure allows a woman to review again the reasons she decided to end the relationship, so that hopefully she can always think back to those reasons when she questions whether it was a good choice.Desdinova said:The purpose of closure is to soothe the woman's emotions when she fears she's making the wrong choice.
