Look, there are a fair number of very good women members of SS. But just by my having typed "very good women members" it's an automatic qualifier in that I'm defining what a "good" female member ought to be by saying so. The membership of SS is overwhelmingly male, that's no secret, but it sets up an environment that is homogenus in it's view points. So any woman diagreeing with the views expressed does so with this environment setting the tone.

PENKITTEN, WATERTIGER, BLACK WIDOW, and a few notable others contribute to the discourse and make very valid, well considered points more often than not. My problem with IQQI and WYLDFIRE (and really only towards the time of her banning) is that they use the environment of SS as a backing for their points. In otherwords, if you disagree with the opinions expressed the fault lies with you not getting it BECAUSE you use SS as your sounding board. You're all male, you all b!tch and complain here, and because she (alledgedly) is a woman you wont take her opinoins seriously because you're jaded. She's never wrong because anything, no matter how well reasoned to the contrary, can always be turned into a poisoned well argument. You guys can't take it because you all hate women, that's the binary of it.

This is why I don't take IQQI seriously. Just like WYLDFIRE, SoSuave is her convenient catharsis. PENKITTEN, WATER TIGER, BLACK WIDOW, all post here regularly and semi-regularly and none of them inspire anything but respect. Does that make them all the female Uncle Toms of this forum? IQQI would have you believe so. Agree with her and she's your best friend, disagree and it's all because you spend too much time here at SS contemplating things.

Iqqi has said some things to me, backbreaker, Penkitten, Str8up and others here that have absolutely been ban worthy but I haven't called for banning her and I think those others haven't called for banning her because occassionally...just occasionally she does make a few good points here and there and often comes off as amusingly clownish in her antics trying to rile the forum up at times.

Kind of a frustrated slightly amusing clown feminist mascot for the forum who is occasionally a source of good information.

I don't think anything IQQI has posted has been particularly ban worthy, but I can't take her seriously even when she posts something worth debating, because it always becomes a staw man or poisoned well argument by her 2nd or 3rd response. The default will always be that just by virtue of being a regular, male SS member your assessment of her POV can't be objective.

I was simply trying to IMO explain why i thought some ppl didnt like IQQI's POV.

Now..it may be true that some "rational" posters have valid reasons to dislike her.

but read some of her threads and you will find newbies and regulars simply disagree with her because of her gender.

honestly i could care less either way, but i figured i would share my opinion.
