"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

this is my first post here, forgive me if this turns out to be a rant....

so i got blown off again last week. By a girl that i've known for about 3 months but finally worked up the cajones to "ask* her out." I realize i've been beating myself up - i'm 21 - relatively good looking, college educated, have a great job, an ex athlete and avid bodybuilder (have receieved my share of compliments from females). I've probably been on 3 dates my entire life and have been shot down 97% of times by women of all shapes and sizes - Usually just before i close the first date. I stumbled on this site from another message board and have spent over 3 hours here now and i can honestly say i had an epiphany.

I HAVE BEEN DOING EVERYTHING WRONG :(

Of every little piece of advice i've read on this board i realize that i have been doing the exact opposite. I want to stress i'm a pragmatist - nothing is gospel to me till i see it work. But my logical and emotional sides are in agreeance with the way of the DJ. It is the forgotten path - our biological impretive. Its about to be 2006 and men, including me have been turned in to golorified p***sies. Conditioned by day time t.v and cheesy romantic movies. We are reduced to grovelling lap dogs, rolling over for the slightest affection from the female persusasion.

It is my goals to study to path of the DJ and find the truth in it, over the next few months i'll study and apply what i have learned here and add my own experiences as many others have. Maybe we can once again take back what was ours - DOMINANCE.

I sent a heart felt thank you to everyone who has contributed to the content of this site.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

mac_tonik,

Welcome. You`ve embarked on a journey that too few are aware is open to them.

This is kind of like an odyssey where instead of finding the golden fleece at the end, you realize that you had it in your possession the entire time. You may not understand this right now but later on you will.

Remember that there is no DJ path or way. There is only YOUR DJ PATH AND WAY. Read the DJ Bible, the forum posts, etc. and then test and keep what works for you and your evolving DJ style.

Cheers,
Mav

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
