"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Yes I am being vague for a reason. Too much pride, even to this anonymous community. I also don't trust people I lack basic trust of people.
Thought so. I spotted it quick because I do the same thing. I don't reveal much, even my geographic location.

It's a pride thing you've got to work on that. A little humility goes a long way. Read Wind Friends and Influence People by Carnegie. Humility at its best.

It's not necessarily a bad thing to be distrusting. Most people aren't out to harm you however. Its nice to let some people in.

Everytime I open up, or trust someone I am making myself vulnerable to attack, to pain, to somethnig I cannot control. Therefore, I have developd a huge over inflated ego and sense of pride as a destructive, but defensive mechanism. That much I do know about myself.
Yeah...

Best thing I have found is to embrace the pain. As long as it doesn't hurt you physically... who gives a damn? Emotional pain is all in your head, its just a thought and it cannot physically hurt you. Only you are making yourself feel bad.

Its funny watching some chicks try to insult you, and try to dig in. Once they see you don't respond it gets really good. :D

How can you hurt that which feels no pain?

Fox, stop living in your head. Do something. I've got stuff to worry about too and I'm contiuously learning to just get up and live. Hard advice to follow, but it's the truth.

Fox, someday you will forget to think you're a failure and do something good, or stop caring about minor stuff.
That's pretty much what happened to me when i was younger, and at some points I was really hoping for the bullet train.

Colonel Sanders became a self-made millionaire for the first time while he was in his 70's. Just because you're not hitting it NOW, doesn't mean you won't. Put the work in now, and I guarantee, you'll likely do it well before the age Mr. Sanders was at.

(PS. Yes, he IS a real person, google it :p)

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
