IQQI you have a long list of examples in how you used to live...poor, white girl living with a black family in the ghetto, no jobs, driving a beat up old van, drinking/drugs, leaving home to run off with some circus performer and live like a gypsy...just to name a few, that you should never ever ever downgrade or disparage how someone else lives. Im really surprised that you of all people are the one criticizing the guy...especially when he has a very decent job. When you met your current bf in Chicago you were living out of a van and had no job.....according to your logic, he should never have dated you because you were "beneath him". But he dated you because he liked you as a person. Not your job or your bank account or what you drove.

While some of that is true about my background, and all of it I am very proud of BTW I love my background, the one thing I will bother to refute and correct you on simply for the record is that I have never done drugs in my life. Not even marijuana, and this is also something I have stated numerous times in other discussions but you are obviously trying to make some kind of point here, lmao.

As far as the state of my life when I met my BF, I am such a mesmerizing and amazing person that of course he fell for me, and hard, what can I say. And where I was when I met him, was an individual who was alone yet fearless, on a mission to become better. Which I did.

Going back to the OP, in comparison I was nowhere near stagnant for three years with my BF. If anything I am the one with all the ambition and open box thinking that drives me forward. BTW, as a self taught stock trader myself now.... how is RTGV doing these days?

Normally I just let hissy-fit guys fade into the sunset to lick their wounds, but since BB has declared what losers he thinks we are, I feel justified in adding my opinion here.

BB's problem is that he says too much in his posts. He would be better off stating his purpose succinctly, waiting for others to respond, and then adding more. As it is he shoots his entire load at once with over-editorializing, thereby making his points thin and opening himself up for people to reply with differing perspectives, hence making him feel he has his reputation to defend.

It's definitely not cool to slam one's peers and then go storming off, but that's just what some people do when pressured or challenged.

I think his problem is that he is long-winded and a bit of a blowhard. He has strong opinions on everything, not just on the topics he is an expert in. You can be a master of a few trades, but not everything. Everybody has that one specific school of knowledge or field that they are experts in and can go toe to toe with anybody who challenges them, but he carries himself like he's a master of everything. He has a lot of excellent insights from time to time that have given me a new way of looking at things, but too often his posts are larded up with condescension and pretension that it's just too irritating and obnoxious to read. Most of the time I find myself scrolling past his wall of text to get to the next post.

And he has no business calling any of us losers, especially the cuckolded restaurant manager friend of his who is making an HONEST living, even if it doesn't allow for a luxury car or an upscale condo. That's fine, my purpose isn't to pile on a guy. Nobody's perfect. We all have stuff in our pasts that we're not proud of and we're striving to overcome. Just don't come at me like you're the teacher and I'm the pupil when you are far from together yourself.

The EX will be talking how bad the guy is for next month. You will have no choice but to listen to that crap. The ex-bf will hate you. All your friends will be nosy and start asking questions for next six months. If you take sides you make enemies and nobody want's to be part of gossip or be on your toes. Stay neutral next time. Why couldn't the ex -gf get here own apartment something furnished right away for a month while she figures out her living arrangements? .. I would love to hear if you don't mind sharing.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Chasing the money and material things is the worst mistake because it takes honesty and genuineness out of you. It's a train to that cold lonely place. I think values and integrity must come first no matter if you are at work, at home, in school or god knows where.


One day we all will die our time will come. Do you (not BB but everyone including myself) want to be remembered as the HUMBLE man with values and integrity that has touched lives in a positive ways? Or the snake that was swinging branches for the next best thing without regard for other people?
