"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Do you bring it up or act like you didn't notice.

Like, if they say they will call you back the same night and they don't. When you go out the next day do you mention it or just act like you didn't notice? I ask because it seems to be two sides to it. Like, if you mention it it could show that you were waiting for her call, which comes off as desperate. But if you don't mention it it could come off as letting her walk all over you....

BTW, we've been dating for bout 5 weeks.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

well we're not going to lie to the poor girl...

meaning u were waiting for the call yes?
so if u were i guess you can tell her but dude it's not what you say it's HOW you say it!

If u want it to sound desperate it will... same goes for thought as well... people can pick up on body language and voice tone...

My advice is... shut up and stop thinking about it too much! You're waht i used to do a lot of the time. ATM i don't care if she calls or wateva, all i know is that i always have some sort of task (uni homework, sleep, eating wateva) to do...

so quit thinking about it or else it'll be the death of you... just wait till you get in deeper man.... these little things are gonna drive you up the wall  :D

Yeah, I've been deeper. It's just that we are supposed to go out today and I needed to find out when and now I have to find out last minute. She has something to do in the morning, that's why I was claling to see when she would be ready to go out.

It just annoys me when people don't contact me back and it is somethign important (to me, anyway).

Is this a girl you've been seeing, or are you just starting with her?

If you've BEEN seeing her, give her a casual, "What happened to you last night?" Don't make a big deal of it, but let her know that when she said she'd call you back, you expected a call back.

If this is like, a first date, she may be setting you up for a stand-up or a last-minute change-of-plans. :(

If that's the case, I wouldn't tolerate that bullsh!t.

Either way, you shouldn't be sitting by the phone waiting for girls to call. That's why you have a cellphone.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Well first off I want say that you did the right thing by coming here and asking your fellow brethren for help.

My advice: Don't sweat it-A keyword in your post is the word-DATING- as in NOT TO BE TAKEN TOO SERIOUSLY! If you were in a relationship then that would be different, but since your dating, you therefore have no solid commitment to the other-until it forms into a relationship its all sh@ts and giggles so don''t worry about it.

But if its really bothering you call her out on it! Don't let it fly!
