Kind of a sad and pathetic question... How would you feel if your new girlfriend's ex contacted her via text, on average once per month for 3 months, not begging for her back but asking how she was doing. And she ignored them completely...

In this case, I am ex who sent her the text messages. She and the new guy are breaking up, and now i'm paranoid that I might have messed things up if he found out I was still messaging her...

I just don't want to be the catalyst for the break haha. Is this a dealbreaker or turn off that an ex still wants to stay in touch?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Why are concerned about this. For some reason the "haha" jumps out at me. Spin plates and dont worry about the possibility of her ex contacting her. You have no control over that.
