"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I'm currently seeing someone, and this girl has a lot of female friends, some of whom are very good looking and charming.

Now, I have a buddy. He's alone and bored. Thing is, he's been demanding that I try to hook him up with one of these girls by setting up a "double date" or some form of get-together. Under normal circumstances, I would do it, but...

Well, my friend is probably one of the most immature individuals I know. In fact, I'd go so far as to say he's legitimate pu**y repellant. He's crashed and burned so many times with women due to his antics and behavior that I wouldn't be surprised to learn he was a virgin. For example, he urinated on a girl's white carpet once because he got upset that she wouldn't let him sleep over. Another example is that he's stalked females in the past - nothing serious, but sleeping in his car across the street from where they live.

I'm afraid that if I introduce this clown to the girl I'm seeing and her friends, it'd make me look bad, but would that make me a bad friend to not help him out?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
Dude, a real friend would TELL HIM EXACTLY what his problem is with women and why you won't introduce him.

I would wait until he shows some capacity to charm women on his own (and the ability to relinquish these unsightly behaviors) before you start punishing your girl's friends with his presence.

If someone doesn't stand up and tell him what's up, then he will never learn. And if he's a friend, he should understand...and if he's any kind of a man, he'll take on the challenge of becoming better with the ladies.

That sounds good but what if he pees on your carpet?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
