"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Hey guys, i saw this forum linked from another forum.

Here's my problem, I saw this chick on the bus the other day. i remembered her from elementary school (Im currently in college) but i couldnt think of her name so next time i see her i think i've got my ice breaker which is basically talking about how i know her from somewhere, what have you been up to, kinda thing.
but what worries me is that she seems like the quiet type and im worried that when i ask her on a date she wont be talking to much and it'll be awkward. only because im more of a listener, i dont really like to talk about myself and girls find it boring when guys talk about themselves too much

any advice?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

When I was on a "break" with my gf about 2 years ago I saw a girl I went to elementary school with at a local store. I stopped her and said, "Hey, aren't you <blah blah>". I said that I had to go, but that we should get together and I then gave her my number. Two days later she called and we hooked up. The date wasn't too great because it turns out we had absolutely nothing in common, but I'm still glad I did it just to gain experience.

I wouldn't worry about it being awkward, just do your best and whatever happens, happens. You'll never know unless you try.

Yeah, I was kinda wondering about that too, what happens when u are both the quite/listener type? I don't say to much and I really want to ask this girl who is really shy (and sexy) out, but I know she won't say anything. Is this an excuse to break the DJ rules and go do something active (like see a movie), until you get more comfortable around eachother rather than sitting down to a meal to "talk and get to know eachother"?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Even shy people talk. You just have to make the extra effort to put them at ease.
