Instagram, Facebook and tinder allowed almost 2 generations of women acess to a pool of digital global male attention
Men on the whole always have and always will lean on the side of being desperate for sex when you amplify this on such a scale as social media did whilst simultaneously letting normal women stoke the fires by posting highly provocative images 24 hours a day its easy to see where things have gone wrong
I would argue though that women have created a rod for their own backs
The competition for female beauty / attractiveness / male simp orbiters has now gone to ridiculous levels and you can see even the average 6's and 7's are desperately trying to push themselves up to an 8
I think back to when I was a teen in the late 2000's , there would always be a chubby female or maybe a taller one in a group of girls that knew they were a bit different and often these would be low hanging fruit
Then you would have a ton of "plain janes" and inevitably one or two hot ones
I see groups of teen girls these days and they all look almost identical , all of them are dressed for the male gaze all of them almost equal in terms of attractiveness
I see this playing out again in the gym .... so many of these young women look almost identical.
I'm not sure where exactly all of this is heading because its clear men have not really followed suit in this race for the top
One thing I’d add is that women, in response to this environment, tend to invest heavily in increasing their “market value” early on, whether that’s appearance with surgeries, education, social skills, travel, or overall lifestyle, especially in their 20s.
Men, on the other hand, often lag behind in this phase. I think part of that is maturity: women are pushed (socially and biologically) to think ahead earlier, while many men don’t feel the same pressure until later. As a result, instead of adapting alongside these changes, a lot of men lose time and then feel blindsided by how competitive things have become.
Realistically, there’s no reason why men shouldn’t also invest time, effort, and money into themselves, whether that’s the gym, education, grooming, braces, hair transplants, fillers, skincare, a decent car, or financial stability. All of this helps a man break through a woman’s external barrier of makeup and glitter, which many are intimidated by, and reach what actually matters underneath.
