"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I haven't masturbated all day and I still can't catch raindrops with chopsticks or mine Bitcoin with my thoughts. Send help.

The leaves on trees don't turn to money as I walk past.

Women I look at aren't instantly becoming pregnant from my gaze alone.

Men who are exposed to my very presence don't immediately drop to their knees and suck me off (<obligatory "nOt gAY bUt" statement goes here>).

My virgin Olive Oil didn't become regular Olive Oil and I still can't see John Cena or smell what the Rock is cooking.

It's almost like NoFap is just a placebo and you're all just trying to cope with your repressed prudishness.. or the fact that you're so mentally pathetic that you can't watch a single porno without becoming instantly addicted.

Whichever.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Try to exercise self control more than 24 hours to give it a go.

I don't believe its a placebo at all, because there is science to back it up. Read your brain on porn. You basically fry your dopamine (brain's reward chemicals) after viewing porn/masturbating and your brain has less of an incentive to try and work hard, self improve, be productive, when its getting all of those temporarily feel good chemicals for doing nothing at all.

Its kind of like saying man I went to the gym and refrained from eating sugar for an entire day and there are no results?

You need more time than that. You expect things to come too easily.

Only one day, what an amateur. Try three months minimum and you will see through walls and be on your way to build the Fourth Reich. With abstaining from onanism you also have to abstain from watching porn, looking at and phantasizing about women. Chastity is not only not playing Five Finger Joe but an attitude.

Damn. You're right.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Damn. You're right.
I had record abstaining periods but they were useless because my mind was rotten and perverted to the core. The only benefit I reaped was the excess energy, but with so much energy anything negative or positive in your life increases tenfold.

It must suck to live life with that type of mentality and constant negativity.
Exactly. Ops problem is primarily in attitude and seemingly no desire to fix it.

Op is only mid 20's and already jaded.

Op, you would be astounded as to what a better attitude and mindset would do for your life.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

And you sound like the kind of person who thinks that with the right mindset, a bullet shot at you won't hit you.

You will die optimistic and who's gonna be at fault?

You know it's possible to be both optimistic and realistic at the same time?

I'm 39 and my life has not been all rainbows and butterflies and so I am not naive as to how much of a burden life can be at times.

But, what is the use in complaining? Life for the overwhelming majority of people is difficult. I have seen your posts and you seem determined to have a victim mindset. You have a sh*t attitude and personality and are immature even in your mid 20s. It would behoove you to change that.

If OP would quit masturbating, stop spending so much time here, go outside more often, engage in a spiritual practice and start working out or get some kind of movement in his day to day life he'd change in 2-3 months for the better.

Nope.

Then why the hell are you talking to me about changing my damn attitude? You should know better.

And why do you think I have a victim mindset? Could it be that every time I started to get my **** together and started putting forth the smallest effort, I end up in a bad spot for not letting people who aren't **** hold me down?

If yes, which it is, then yeah I'm a victim. You can talk to me about "learning from my mistakes" or whatever all you want, what you're really just telling me is to not try.. because that's the only way I can avoid being the "problem" everywhere I go.

Also the sooner we get our heads out of our asses and stop pretending that maturity is something that.. happens, the better.

Spoken like a true victim who is determined to be a passenger in his own life.

Notice how OP takes zero responsibility for his own personal failings and shifts blame to someone else?

Sorry OP. Not interested in the sob story. There are many people who had it way worse than you who have succeeded through their own hard work and perseverance and drive to rise above it all. Like the numerous people who came to the US as immigrants without a dollar in their pocket that didn't speak the language and didn't know anyone and turned themselves into millionaires. How did it happen? Firstly because they believed it could and secondly because they worked their ass off towards making it happen and didn't allow setbacks no matter how big dissuade them from their goals.

Your only drive seems to be to complain about your life and how bad it's been and why it will never change. Well you are right about that. With your attitude and mindset it never will.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Don't see any non-religious or secular reasoning behind abstaning from that. That's good enough for me though. I don't get all of the discussion about the issues around it. I totally disagree that this will turn you into a Chad that gets allot of traction or is helpful in any practical sense beyond the religious aspect.

If I attempted to leverage my confidence and put in more effort, I'd either end up shot or in jail for something trivial af. That's just how it is. I couldn't care less about the damn immigrants.

And the coup de grace...creating outcomes in your head that mirror your current mindset as a reason to do nothing.

Congrats.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
