"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I was told I couldn't have contacts.
I think I'm due another opticians appointment soon anyway.
I'll get the whole thing cleared up then.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Go shopping for glasses with a lady whose opinion you trust, and get sexy glasses. Think of them as an accessory.

I've got them in right now. They cost abit more, but they make them.
Yeah they do. They are the hard contacts. I have myopia (near-sightedness) but it's not a bad thing. If you have a good vision plan you can get some really nice frames. I have about 6 pairs of various Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein, Guess eyeglasses and they look good for certain.

Or if you absolutely, positively can't hack it with glasses then you might be able to have the PRK/Lasik/Lasek laser eye surgery. However I must warn you, you should know what you want to do in life because you may disqualified for jobs. I want to go to flight school in the Air Force but they only accept PRK within certain pre-operation stats. My Doctor tells me that Lasik is superior but it's an instant DQ for flight school. I wouldn't even get a chance to apply.

The hard contacts I believe can deal with astigmatism. I know because I have been wearing glasses for about 14 years now and about the 6 year(1993) I tried hard contacts. I couldn't do the soft contacts though. My astigmatism error is about -1.00.

You should talk with your Optometrist but glasses are cool man! I snagged more chicks than I should have with having neat glasses on.

I've got a pair of glasses called Sillouhettes... I only wear them wehn I'm reading and when I'm in front of my computer.

I get a lot of compliments from girls who never knew I wore them... they all say it makes me look sexy in a very distinguished way.

I don't care.. glasses or no.... if they don't like me for me, fvck em

I never wear them out, though....... sometimes when I'm driving but that's about it.

You might not need glasses.

I believe you can get laser treatment for Astigmatism.
