"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

^ I can see that you never 'studed'.

The trick when it comes to studying is to look at it as a full time job. When you are at college/university your JOB is to study. Studying should be your overall objective. End of story.

This is something I realized today. I always looked at school as something secondary for my social life. You know, put in x hours and then party. But that is wrong.
Thats right, my college education is an investment. Every hour I study now will pay off in the futur.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Here in Italy, Medicine and Engineering are the toughest Universities. Law and Business are for rich people who like to party yet want a great future. Basically it works like this

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Time management sound like your issue. Normal human behavior to waste time. We all put off things that don't excite us.

Get " What Smart Students Know" by Adam Robinson.

http://www.amazon.com/What-Smart-Stu.../dp/0517880857

Robinson's primary point: that traditional "learning" methods are boring, time-consuming, AND ineffective. Robinson's suggests that HOWEVER MUCH time you have to devote to your studies, whether it's an hour a day per college course or an hour per week for a high school course -- whatever -- your time is best employed using these methods. If you're short of time, or the test isn't so important, Robinson says to cut back on the methods to fit your time budget and the importance of the test.

It changed the way I studied from a struggling 3.0 undergraduate to a 3.6 Masters to a 3.9 PhD. Science all the way. I found it senior year as a undergraduate, I wish I found it much earlier.

Check out the book at your local bookstore. It teaches you how to study. You will throw away your highlighters after you read it.
