"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

How to smartly deal with this girl in my classes?

Update: WTF????

Well, as I said earlier, our lunch "date" went well. Things were pretty normal during our first class (I came in right before class began so there was no time to talk before class). Then during the break between our first two classes I, remembering her comment about the dorms on Friday, asked her if she wanted to come with me to see the dorms briefly as I went there to swap my books for the next class. She said no. After that, things dramatically changed. While upset and dissapointed, I tried to act exactly as I did before and I think I did a very good job of that during that class. However, things just were never the same. She used to laugh and virtually all my jokes, even comments I made that was remotely funny. No more. She was no longer the same, happy person. In the middle of the second class she got up to go to the restroom to completely change her hairstyle. I don't know what that was about! She didn't need to look better for me and there is no one she is into in the class. It could have been because I was paying less attention to her and/or she noticed girl #2 constantly catching my eye. All this isn't odd enough. In our third class she suddenly appeared to be sad and in a world of her own (i.e. instead of looking at students who happened to be speaking as she normally did she continued to stare straight or look down). Sad at what? She was the one who said, "no" to a simple thing. It isn't as if I said we should go there to make out. She always leaves class before I do because I use a laptop and have to disconnect it, wrap the cord up, etc. while she simply puts her books in her bag and leaves. Yet today she magically happened to leave right after I did. Last Friday we left together, but that was only because the professor stopped everyone at the last minute and the delay allowed me to "catch up." Could she have wanted a repeat of Friday, i.e., me asking her to do something again? Even if she did her behavior for most of the day was simply not going to want me to ask her to hang out. If she acted normal I would have. Surely she could see this.

WTF happened?????????

Still, the day was not a total loss. The girl I called girl #2 earlier was in a 2 hour class with me and the would regularly look at me, play with her hair. She did this on a regular basis. I didn't sit there and time it but I would glance at her every now and then and about half the time she would be playing with her hair and then looking at me when she finished playing. The other thing was that when we had 2 moments where a student made a comment that cracked everyone up she stared at me. This could be because she thought it would be a good time to sneak a peek when everyone else was distracted or maybe she likes me smile lol. Anyway, as I said earlier she is hotter than the other one. It looks like I have a catch here...she could have just been a flirt but the fact that she did it the entire 2 hour class suggests she is the real deal. I plan on seeing how things end up this week with girl #1 before moving in on #2, assuming #1 doesn't work out.

As far as whether having things go wrong with a girl from class, especially one that sits next to me would affect me, it is not a big issue for me. After the situation is sorted out I will adapt to it. I have had similar things happen to me and I would barely know the girl was in my class after my interest had dissappeared.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Well, the saga continues.

Today she was basically back to her normal self. The only differences were that she was constantly playing with her hair during our 2 hour class today, she even kinoed me a bit by "accidently" having her foot hit my leg and then keeping it there for about thirty seconds, and she (in the classic indirect way girls use, after playing with her keys so she could time her walking out of class with my leaving class) asked me to walk with her to her campus mailbox during a 10 minute break between classes. Today all the school clubs had tables in the main hall and she said she was going there after our class (presumably she wanted me to come to) but I told her my second class was starting earlier then usual and so I wouldn't have time to go there at that time and that I would go there after my second class ended (we are in different second classes but they end at the same time). She changed course and was there after our second classes ended. That could be because she knew I was there, or because she wanted to finish up some work she had left during the first break (although she spent a total of 2-3 minutes actually looking at things at the "fair" while I spent about 20 mins).

What seems to have happened is that she (correctly) thinks I acted the way I did yesterday was because I interpreted her not coming with me to my dorm for a few mins as a lack of interest. So she went about doing everything she realistically could do today to show her interest.

Is my conclusion flawed? Can anyone tell me what is going on inside her head?

Update on girl #2: Today she had her laptop facing me. About 15-20 p[eople have laptops and they all face the front. ;)

It looks like we have an attention W H O R E here...

Thursday she was back to being cold. I walked in, sat next to her, and said "good morning" (I say that or "hey" every day) and she didn't even bother to respond. That began another round of our hot/cold dance. I became cold to her--didn't even talk to her or look her way throughout the entire 80 minute class. Then in our second and last class of the day she said "hey" when I came in and I responded by I began talking to the guy who sits behind us, who lives on my floor and is in all my classes. I could tell she was getting upset that my attention was elsewhere. She then did a cheap stunt to regain my attention.

I think the only possible explanation for her going hot/cold (cold when she thinks she "won me" and hot when she is trying to "win me") is that she is an attention *****. So I will treat her as such from now on. Today she walked into class after me and I said "hey, buddy"...this must have completely surprised her since she probably thought I was head over heels AFC for her and here I am calling her a friend. :D I am going to toy with her. The only way to deal with attention *****s is to be indifferent to them, at least as far as attraction goes. Either ignore them or at least LJBF them. I lose nothing by doing this and perhaps I can gain a fu*ck buddy, which is the best you can do with AW"s, and I gain social proof due to what she will inevitably do to try to "win me back." Talking to other girls while around her is key in this. Luckily for me, I seem to have one HB8 and a HB7 who sit near me in 2 of our classes who have some interest in me so I can use them to make her jealous. HB8 has a BF and HB7 is not my top target right now. I will bring this AW to her knees, literally and figuratively I hope. ;)

Update on girl #2: She continued to preen herself basically all class, for the 8th day in a row. She also frequently loooks at me. Now that I have Nexted #1I will move in on #2 next week. Even if it doesn't work out (which seems unlikely given the amount of time she spends trying to attract me, far more than the token things a typical AW would do) it will make #1 jealous and drive her crazy, especially since I will be much more aggressive with #2 which will appear to lend fuel to the idea that I just wanted to be friend with #1 (I still haven't asked for her number).

It seems like she is into you, so I don't know what you are so hesitant about. Have you talked to her yet? Like actually have a conversation.. you should had been gaming that **** sense day one.

There is a girl in my 4th period I fancy right now. At the beginning of the year I could tell she was out of my league. I tried a little too hard to be funny, and found no one laughing, so I stayed kind of quiet. I wasn't a loner, but I was just sitting back relaxed and only really said something when neccesary. Lucky for me a few days later she took the iniative to try talking to me, but I was kind of an ass that day and kind of ignored her. Then I added her on myspace, and we talked briefly. Ahaha, maybe like 2 sentences. Short and to the point, like it should be. But yeah, I found when I ignored her, she ignored me. But a couple days later if I recognized her.. like even the slightest thing. Like she would come up and try talking to me. Then just the other day I walked by her and she was like "Do you have any money" and started reaching her money into my pockets.. damn, I should of ran with that.. but I was really nervous. Ahaha, she is like the only girl I get nervous around while gaming. It kind of sucks.

But yeah, try talking to her, like briefly, even something simple, but keep it short. Then for the next few days, don't talk to her. She should then try to talk to you, if she doesn't.. repeat the process. Once SHE takes the iniative.. then have a more in depth convo, maybe ask for her number.

The thing about girls from school, you want to work on them little by little everyday... don't treat it like a night club where you might not ever see her again.. wait a few days or weeks before asking the number. If you come off strong, she may not like it.. then everyone will know, and there goes your rep..

Hope I helped some?
