Hi,

I've run into a problem a couple of times lately. I used to be a bit of a studious and straight-arrow, basically 'boring' kind of guy, until seeing the results of gradual changes in the past yr only.

I have the desire and time to go out and have fun and be more social etc, but am not sure how to react when trying out new activities with new cool ppl. Ppl ask me what I've been upto in my life, and about my past gfs, and crazy things I did etc., and I don't really HAVE MANY/ANY:). I have to keep coming up with tired cliches like "No well. I've just been really busy all these yrs, just concentrating on my career blah blah.." But there is a major buzzkill.

So my question is how do you get around this issue? Thanks....

Hmm, good question. Most people have to LIE about their lives in order to blend in in these scenes you venture out on the town to meet chicks at. Most do not go paratrooping every week, sticking their heads into a lion's mouth, go scuba diving down into the Titanic, or go dune-buggying at the Egyptian Pyramids, or have seen a Real dinosaur in the African rainforests, served in the Iraq war helped pull Saddam out of the spider-hole whatever. I think that there is a balance you must strike between myth, and reality. Recount your stories of the past with more flare than you Actually remember it as. Take detours, tangents, and drop-offs to wherever your mind tells you to go, as, long as she's listening. Paint a picture. Shoot the arrow through the apple on her nodding head. Pin the tail on the donkey. You must construct whatever you're going to say, Not to impress, but to entertain; thereby, putting away your focus on the black and white facts of your accountable past, and jumping into the field of hissing insects, rolling thunder and wind-blown lilies in a threatening sun-lit sky-splitter mountains.
