Romance in the movies is totally different from real life dude. This is just a scripted scene setting up a love interest.
As I said before in that other thread, if movie scenes and mild stimuli is filling you with jealousy and rage, go see a counsellor about it.

I already talked to a bunch of that type of people years ago, after a while I got totally fed up with them and said to myself never again.
That is a movie but I wouldn't be surprised if a man with his looks gets women hitting on him like that. I've seen women totally drooling over some men. For example one time about 13 years ago I was in a language course and we were in a pub outside school hours. We were three guys sitting together with a guy from school who was like an instructor for extracurricular activities. Three women from the course came over to our table just to sit next to him. They were totally drooling over him, totally ignoring me. One of them insulted me saying I was a child, if I recall correctly talking about me in third person. I was 20 at the time, which I told them, don't remember if someone there asked my age, maybe. That particular woman I think disliked me from just having observed me at another occasion at another pub. I remember the whole situation vividly and I hate those three women and that guy they were drooling over, he was a d1ck to me too.
Another time there was a woman in a store talking to the guy behind the counter, I remember how she was totally drooling over him. Hate both of them to this day, it was years ago.

I don't know, people do engage in small talk and in ends up turning into something. It's not like it never happens. Some guys get approached more than others. It doesn't do any good to get enraged over it though.
Also note that DeNiro is wearing a suit. A friend of mine met his wife this way: He was in a job where he wears a suit every day, and went to eat lunch at a food court. A woman came up to him and dropped off a slip of paper with her number on it. They're still married today.
